Free Webinar “Understanding Pre-Painted Metal” – April 2022
AIA Webinar Course Description:
This FREE accredited webinar on pre-painted metal with Metal Architecture and Steelscape’s Michelle Vondran provides an understanding of the fundamentals of pre-painted metal, common paint systems, their differences, and suitability for different environments.
This course also provides an extensive overview of pre-painted metal enhancement options that can improve aesthetics, durability or energy efficiency. The final section of this course explores paint system failures and how they can be avoided. At the conclusion of this course, the designer or specifier will have an improved ability to select the right pre-painted product relative to environmental considerations and building owner expectations.
- Explain the pre-painted metal fundamentals, the paint application process and the advantages of this process relevant to exterior building applications.
- Identify the three common types of paint systems, their differences and appropriate applications.
- Recognize the enhancement options available for pre-painted metal and how they can be modified specific to project needs.
- Identify pre-painted metal durability issues, their causes and applicable warranty considerations for end building users.
